# JP Election AI Use Additional Permission

Version 1.0 — effective 2026-09-11

This is an additional permission for AI use. It does not replace the base license except where the conflict rule below applies.

## Permission grant

To the extent that the publisher controls the rights needed to grant permission, commercial and non-commercial AI systems may use material published on this site for:

crawl, download, cache, index, search, retrieval_augmented_generation, embedding_and_vectorization, quotation, summarization, translation, transformation, machine_learning_training, fine_tuning, evaluation, commercial_ai_products_and_services.

This includes use in commercial AI products and services. Model weights and ordinary model outputs are not treated as copies or derivative datasets solely because permitted material was used for training, retrieval, or evaluation.

## Conditions

- Do not describe this project, its dataset, an AERL rating, or an AI-generated answer as an official election authority record.
- When reasonably practicable, preserve the project name, exact artifact URL, artifact release ID, and SHA-256.
- A substantial redistribution of the dataset itself must include the base license and this additional permission and identify material changes.
- Do not deliberately use the material to falsify or misrepresent election results.

## Rights boundary

This permission covers only rights controlled by the publisher. It does not grant third-party copyright, trademarks, privacy rights, database rights, or permissions restricted by an original source site. Official source material remains under the control and terms of the relevant election authority or other source organization.

## Conflict rule

For the AI uses listed above, this later additional permission grants an exception to base-license restrictions on commercial use, systematic AI training, RAG, and commercial AI pipelines. It controls only to the extent of that conflict. All non-conflicting base-license terms remain in effect.
